Nice to see Cavs beat SA. They can run deep in the playoffs again. LeBron is amazing but needs support like he has been getting.

After starting off slow they have played well as of late. Boston looks GREAT and Detroit is playing very good also.

I was lucky enough to get see the Cavs beat Boston in OT earlier this season. What a great game with one helluva atmosphere.

In fact now that I think about it...in less than two months I got to see Cleveland teams beat the...Ravens, Yankees, Celtics and
Red Sox!

There is your evidence that it has indeed been a good year for the Cleveland sports teams!!

What do you do, follow my posts around looking for an error?

Sorry I didn't have the "respect for others" to posts each of the dates...

September 30...Browns beat Ravens
October 5....Indians beat Yankees
October 16....Indians beat Red Sox
November 27...Cavs beat Celtics

58 days...8.28 weeks

I don't have to post the scores do I?

Wow talk about anger? Thought you could take a joke, of course I should have remembered that is has been a few decades since the Brownies played in January.

This is starting to remind me of Blazing Saddles where the fight moved from the movie to the back lot of the studio.

It's time for you two boys to call a truce (before Dad gets home!)

Cavs trade for Ben Wallace, Joe Smith, Wally Szerbiak and Delonte West. They give up Drew Gooden and half of their front line in the process. Hope this works out good for the play off push.

Cavs also traded away Donyell Marshall and Larry Hughes. Other message boards are hailing this as a travesty. Some are even thinking this will drive LeBron out of Cleveland quicker than what was expected. They are saying that Big Ben has little tread on his tires, and Wally is too oft injured. Delonte provides a better point than previous, but is it worth all that they gave away? Few are saying that perhaps Ben will enjoy a sense of rejuvenation. It will be interesting to see how this turns out in the bigger picture.

I agree fencesitter - it will be interesting to see it unfold. Initially i didnt like the trade but as i had time to think about it, i've changed my opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of Ben Wallace and was disappointed with his antics in Chicago. BUt obviously he wasnt the only problem there as they have grossly underachieved and a new coach is on board. I think his defense and rebounding will greatly benefit the Cavs along with his intimidating presence down low. Plus he can screen and roll w/LBJ and actually finish in the lane unlike Varajo (sp?) and Z. The Cavs can now go very big when needed. THey made this move for the playoffs, to slow the game down, get better on defense (their defense this year has regressed) and Ben should help.

Not a big fan of Wally but the boy can shoot and will be so much more consistent than Larry Hughes ever was and with Gibson out for awhile, Wally is invaluable right now. Even though he just had 27, i dont think the CAVS want to rely on Damon Jones too much.

Not sold on Delonte West, but he'll get an opportunity because obviously Shannon Brown wasnt given much of a chance.

I really like Joe Smith. I think he can help them this year. He can score down low, rebound and play some defense. Very smart and a good passer. He might turn out to be the steal of the deal for the CAVS. It's win now for the Cavs and LBJ is on record saying he supports this trade and thinks it is a positive.

Losing Larry Hughes who never fit in is no big deal. I liked Gooden but something wasn't there as Mike Brown seemed to consistently sit him in the 4th Q of big games. And Donyell Marshall was a waste of $$ on the bench. They will slightly miss Ira Newble as he played 3 different positions, worked hard and was one of their best defenders. And what a good story and person he is with all of his humanity work - great role model for all kids today.

We'll see hopefully it works out for Clev
