Wow I wish some of the "diehard" (bandwagon jumpers) Cavs fans were still on here so I could tell them I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He went where the money was folks and who really can blame him? He is aware that this is a business, he wants his. I wonder how long it will be before the Cavs fold up now?

It really is sad you know. I actually feel sorry for some of them. Oh well Browns fans will stir up the dislike soon enough LOL.

He's actually taking less money in Miami. Not that it matters with the ridiculous endorsements that he gets. Lebron ruined his legacy with this move. He'll never be on the same level as MJ, Kobe, Magic, etc. Although, I'm not shocked that even Clevelanders don't want Cleveland to win.

MM he will make more in endorsements and the like after winning a championship down there. Of course they have to win first but I am still of the opinion that his tax return next year will have a larger number than this year.

I find it hard to believe his endorsements will increase much more. He already makes a ton in endorsements. The no state income tax will boost that paycheck though. The whole situation is just a shame. This move makes the already horrid NBA much worse. This just simply shouldn't be allowed to happen. Now there are 3 teams max in the league worth watching. Just another reason for me to watch hockey in the winter.

Aside from that fact that he kicked FAITHFULNESS and LOYALTY in the nards, I think this was actually a great move for him. He has always been straightforward with the fact that winning is his only priority, and he had won about as much as he was going to in Cleveland. He's now paired with Bosh and Wade. I'd say his chances of winning just got a tad higher, wouldn't you?

On a curiosity note, MM, who are the teams you'd still watch? I'm only asking because there isn't any one specific team I like to watch, just players.

Who cares? He's a nice kid and all... no scandals or vices. That alone puts him way above all the spoiled egomaniacs in sports.

But if a single player determines which "team" wins a championship, then it's not the team winning the championship. What exactly does he "owe" cleveland? If he didn't have natural talent and if the Cavs hadn't been kind enough to hire the lad and give him a chance in the pros even though he didn't have a college diploma, what... today he'd be stocking the (top) shelves at the Akron Walmart?

Cleveland didn't get to make the first draft pick that year because they were just this close to a championship. They earned it because they sucked. The kid gave them a chance, and he got to play before hometown crowds for a few more years, but it didn't work out. Now that he's allowed to change employers, he picked one that met his personal and professional goals and interests.

Wanting to stay in your hometown is an admirable thing, and the fact is he gave the region several of his best playing years. People who somehow feel the entitlement that he must play here for life simply have no right to such an expectation. If he were a star executive in any other field, no one would think twice about him moving on to his own choice of career advancement, even though, yeah, staying local would be so wonderful in a Jimmy Stewart kinda way. Though it would be a loss to the previous bank/hospital/technology firm/widget manufacturer that such a top employee was leaving, the bottom line is that it's not the company's decision to make.

And your company is on thin ice and fooling itself if a single employee, not the entire operation as an institution, is responsible for making it an industry leader/winner.

Here in a Summer Place we find his leaving understandable...But on style points for how He handled it...he's a loser! It will be even colder up north (Cleveland) this winter!

I watched the Cavs mostly because they were on FSN all the time and Lebron is entertaining to watch. Now, they are going to be awful. The only three teams worth watching, to me, will be the Lakers, Heat, and Celtics. And I extremely dislike all three. I'll end up watching less of the NBA than I already do. I can't believe how much money these guys get paid to be punks. That goes for all professional athletes in general. We allow them to become the narcissistic egomaniacs that they are. To refer to yourself in the third person on MULTIPLE nationally televised interviews... it really just disgusts me.

I'LL still watch the Cavs. But I will keep an eye on Lebron and Z as well. I understand why he made the choice....its was just a bit arrogant the way he did it. Z left with a little more class.
